Formal Education Ved: The ABC Assessment Battery might be a relevant 'tool' to use when a child is seen as warranting particular and formal education ved specialist support such as a Statement of Special Educational Needs (e.g. Stage 5 of the Code of Practice), or expert help within the context of an Individual Education Plan (e.g. Stage 3 of the Code of Practice). If more formal education ved assessment of this type is recommender1 then it is also likely that multi-disciplinary input will be needed.
The Protestant Reformation, led by Martin Luther and John Calvin, began in 1517. Both believed that it was important for all Christians to read the Bible. They urged the state to help establish an educational system.

Germany were active in Bible translation and diligent in Bible study in the vernacular. The Brethren of the Common Life, a religious order that included Thomas a Kempis (1380-1471) and helped to train Desiderius Erasmus (1466P-1536), had as its chief object the fostering of education. It established schools and carried on both formal education ved and informal education ved religious instruction for the common people. Its influence declined only when the state began to take over responsibility for education. |
