Baby To Show: One trick which helps in posing a very small infant is to put the baby to show on the seat of a straight-backed chair and then drape a blanket around the baby to show up to his middle. The mother puts her hand under the blanket, where it will be concealed, and supports the infant while you take the picture. If she kneels on the Floor beside the chair she will not show at all in the picture. Parents often like such a pose because the child looks stronger and more developed for his age than he really is.
Parents and toddlers are welcome at all times. Having a baby to show to look after does not exclude die mother or dad from helping. We ask for babies to be brought in so our children can observe diem at play, and play with them or watch them being given a badi or feed. During a project to highlight equal opportunities for girls and boys a dad changed his month-old baby to show's nappy. Even pets play their part. They too are brought in to show off teedi, behaviour (good or disruptive!), paws, coats and the like.
CHILDBIRTH is the process by which a baby to show is expelled from the uterus, or womb, through the vagina to the outside world. Normally, a baby to show is born about 38 weeks (266 days) after it is conceived. In some cases, however, the baby to show may be born after only 26 weeks, and in others it may taJce as long as 41 weeks. Generally, if a baby to show is born before 35 weeks after conception, it is considered to be premature. |
